Post a Commenti did something similar with a square short vase and some white BB pellets. I got both for under 6 or 7 dollars, and the BBs are heavy enough that the brushes stand up straight. now i can always find the brush i need right away, and they look nice just sitting out on the counter.

They are like little acrylic beads from any craft store. They are pretty tiny.
I think I know what you are talking about. When I went to the salon on Saturday, they had a cup full of those tiny beads and pens in it. What a sweet idea to use them to hold brushes!
That's probably it, Jenna. I saw one girl on youtube, she actually used dry macaroni in hers. It kept the brushes up nicely, but her jar wasn't glass, it was a cute canister, so you didn't see the macaroni.
